Barracuda K-2

Thunderbolt

The Barracuda K-2 a new model for 2011, is another innovative concept in a tandem touring kayak design. Now you can cruise, lightly loaded at 8 miles per hour and faster with two well trained paddlers. Cockpits are far enough apart to allow occupants to paddle out of sync and allow for individual style differences. The Barracuda K-2 has a long water line, very narrow beam and low wetted surface area with a round bottom. This design allows paddlers to maintain fast cruising speeds due to the very low wave drag of the boat. The deeply flared bow keeps a dry ride. The paddling position is ergonomically correct to allow movement of the legs which facilitates upper body rotation. Hung seats allow a true kayak fit. This flatwater racing kayak is well suited for off shore paddling as well as lakes and reservoirs. The Barracuda can be fitted with water-tight bulkheads, hatches and deck webbing at some additional cost. Float bags will be furnished if kayak is ordered without water-tight bulkheads.
