X-5 XR-5

Our most current wildwater design, the X-5 is truly made in America, having been designed by William Nutt, an American paddler. It is a large volume boat, but most of its' volume is above the water. Having very little hull in the water and being highly rockered make it a very fast boat that turns on demand. It has no concave sections or flat spots and it is very stable; maintaining this stability in rough water and while turning. It is also superior in shallow water. This design won both the 1983, '84 US Wildwater National Championships and the Team Trials. The XR-5 is the same hull as the X-5 with a little more rocker for a quicker turning response.
